Project context¶
Micro Mayhem is a 2D top-down Bullet Hell game which takes place in the human body. It is the task of the Antivirus nanomachine, controlled by the player, to take down all viruses it can find before they get away.
Our team has been approached by our client to create a Bullet Hell game that appeals to young adults seeking short, engaging gameplay sessions after work. We seek to achieve this by the several features that have been documented in the document folder.
Our client also handed us a target audience document, in which the target audience was represented by a made up person called Brent Spellman. This document can be found here.
Ultimately this project will be released on the free-to-play platform Itch.io.
Goal of the project¶
By making Micro Mayhem, we aim to reach the following goals:
- Create a fun and challenging game with clear mechanics that is fun for gamers of varying skill levels.
- Implement features that allow players to feel rewarded for their skill, in form of risk-reward features.
- Making the game balanced and varied, so people will enjoy the game to the point where they’d return to play the game again.
Inspiration of the project¶
